Newport Academy is a gender-specific, comprehensive, residential treatment program for teens suffering from substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.
The program combines key elements essential in effectively treating adolescents with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. When compared to adults, adolescents have higher rates of dual diagnosis and developmental differences. As such, adolescent treatment needs are more challenging and involve more comprehensive, multi-disciplinary approaches. Understanding the distinct needs of adolescents, Newport Academy provides a highly individualized, holistic approach to treatment in which psychological, biological, spiritual, social and educational needs are consistently addressed throughout the treatment process.
