Description of Program:
College Admission Consultants is a personalized counseling service that guides students through the often overwhelming and stressful college process. Our dedicated consultants focus on each student individually to assess his or her strengths, abilities, and goals. One-on-one interviews, questionnaires, and extensive research are used to provide our client with a list of colleges that best fits the studentÕs interests and needs. We also provide advice on the application process and oversee the preparation of applications. With our assistance, a student can enjoy the high school years and focus on their exciting future opportunities.

Our Professional Staff:

Marilyn Kaufman, MEd.
Marilyn Kaufman graduated with high honors from The University of Texas and earned her Masters degree in Education from The University of North Texas. She is a member of Kappa Delta, an International Honor Society in Education. Ms. Kaufman holds a Texas Teacher Certificate and has been a teacher, principal, and educational consultant for over twenty years. She has presented workshops for Region 10 and the Plano Independent School District. Ms. Kaufman chaired the College Admission program for parents at the St. MarkÕs School of Texas.

Dorothy Pearrow, MEd., MSW
Dorothy Pearrow received her Masters in Education and Masters in Social Work from Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri. She worked as a counselor at both Washington University and Pace University in New York. As a Director of Human Resources for several companies, Ms. Pearrow recruited from colleges across the country. She has over ten years of counseling experience and has conducted seminars in communication and interviewing techniques in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Ms. Pearrow worked with Admissions at The Hockaday School prior to joining College Admission Consultants.

Mira Clary, JD,
Mira Clary graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Vassar College and earned her juris doctorate from the University of Virginia School of Law. Post-graduate work at New York University and The University of Texas included literature and education classes. Ms. Clary has worked in New York and Texas as an attorney and educator in the private and public sectors. She is certified to teach Secondary English and has taught in the Plano Independent School District. Ms. ClaryÕs more than ten years experience as a writing mentor makes her uniquely qualified to assist in essay and resume preparation. She serves as an alumna interviewer for Vassar College.
